It will take place May 15, 2016 the mountain bike race organized by the Capoliveri Bike Park, which after 22 years takes back the worldwide competition of the International Circuit UCI World Marathon Series 2016. It was since 1994 that the World Championship challenge was missing from the island, "that time the legendary trial of the Cross Country World Cup was mentioned by the specialized press as one of the three best races of the twentieth century" is written on the event page in Facebook. "The International Circuit UCI World Marathon Series 2016 begins in South Africa on February 20, 2016, and ends in Brazil on November 6; in between, there are the most important races in the world, from that of Houffalize, Belgium, the mythical Roc D'Azur in France. In addition to Elba race, in Italy there are two other events: the Sella Ronda Hero of Selva Val Gardena and Tiliment Bike Marathon in Spilimbergo (PN) Friuli, two of the most famous races on the marathon distance and affiliates day Europe."
The Capoliveri Legend Cup, this year, it is valid also for the Italian International Marathon and for circuits IMA Scapin and MTB Tuscany Tour. Registration is open until the day of the race.
For those who are not too much in competition, but would like to participate, the organizers have planned a "ecological bicycle tour"
